2026 Leaders of Tomorrow Bursary Awards 

We welcome all eligible students to apply for this award. Please review the requirements carefully to ensure your application is complete. Deadline for Application Submission is Tuesday April 7th, 2026.

Important Information

  • Applications are reviewed by a panel of independent community members.
  • All applicants will be notified of the outcome in May 2026.
  • Incomplete applications will not be considered.
  • Applicants who have previously received a Scholarship or Bursary award are not eligible. These awards are intended for first-time recipients or those who applied in previous years but were not selected.
  • To qualify for a Bursary Award, the combined household income must be $95,000 or less. This information helps the review committee assess eligibility. All information will be kept confidential and used only for the purposes of this application.

Application Components

To be considered, your application must also include:

  1. Two essays – maximum 500 words each:
    1. Your educational journey to date and what led you to pursue your current studies
    2. What inclusive leadership means to you and how you demonstrate it in academic, social and community settings
  2. A transcript of your most recent academic record.

  • The information collected will not be used to identify you personally and will only be viewed and assessed by a limited number of authorized individuals.

The Equity, Inclusion, and Diversity (EDI) Department at Hamilton Health Sciences collects personal information to better understand who is applying for and receiving awards. This information will be reviewed by the HHS Scholarship and Bursary Review Committee and designated support staff to help ensure a fair, equitable, and accurate evaluation process. Personal information will only be shared with authorized personnel responsible for the evaluation and administration of the program.

All information is securely stored in an onsite database, retained for one year, and then confidentially destroyed.
